Nice little hostel very close to an underground station. Great value for a hostel in Hong Kong and means you don't have to stay in the dodgy backpacker area further down the road. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful, one lady speaks excellent English and the hostel were extremly organised upon checking in. Would stay there again.
Staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with new towels everyday and new sheets most days. There is no communal area for meeting other travellers, but if you want a safe and pleasant hospital for a cheap price Ah Shan is the place to go. I would stay again.

Pros: 1. Centrally located & close to MTR 2. Very friendly staff and very clean 3. Price is reasonable for Hong Kong. Cons: 1. Can be a bit noisy. The hostel itself does not face the street, but noise from other hostelers drifts in to the rooms. 2. The rooms can be a bit stuffy and warm. There are no windows in the private rooms. 3. The bathroom for the private w/shared toilets was a bit dirty sometimes. It's near reception so other travelers would use it as a communal toilet.
ah shan is a nice little guest house located conveniently next to the mtr station in kowloon which gives you easy access to the whole city. the accommodations are small and simple and not much interaction with other guests but if you're traveling with a friend or meeting people it's quite alright. will stay there again
Staff couldnt do enough to help, really welcoming and friendly and most of them spoke english. One problem - when leaving early morning, take the second set of elevators, as the ones you initially use are turned off at night! i spent 20 minutes roaming the stairs (locked at bottom) in confusion!
