i intered to albareda alone and left it with new friends. They present me to other guests and wanted everybody no leave me alone .they recomend you the best place to eat( 8,50 eruos , good and not turistic food), the secret places in barcelona in gotic quarter and around the barcelona like montserrat and dali museum ......the common room is nice, clean and comfortable . they are like your family .the day staff are family member and the night staff very proficional and helpfull too.
it was a good experience in a respectfull and peacefull hostel.Not allowded for drunk and unresponsible people .it is allowded drinking some vine and beer sharing in the nice and always clean kitchen
. the cleaner staff always laghing and kind.I will come back there for sure and i recomend it to everybody who want to have fun, good sleep at night and positive vibe in a family and small size hostel .
I thought Albareda was a lovely place to stay. Yes, it's a bit more expensive but you are close enough to everything in Barcelona, whether it be a short walk to the gothic quarter or a metro ride up to Diagonal. The staff are wonderfully friendly and the extra money you pay goes into cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms everyday. The lockers are also top notch so no worries if you have a laptop or other valuables. The staff know the city inside out and are always on call 24hrs. I was a solo traveller and it's true what they say, I met some nice people during my stay at the hostel and would definitely go back on my return to Barcelona. The neighbourhood is safe and amenities are not far away. It is fully air conditioned for those sticky nights and the breakfast is a good start to the day. Thanks Albareda.
