Maple leaf guest house was an excellent place to stay. The location was great, It's within walking distance to a lot of sights.The hostel's decoration was nice and had the characters as shown in the photos, that i loved. quiet enviornment,clean facilities,friendly and helpful staff.I would definitely recommend this hostel to my friends and I would stay there again myself.

We really loved this hostel. It was in a great location, not too far from the star ferry. The room was very clean and had nice furnishings. The TV was great and the staff were very friendly and even met us at the nearby bus stop. There was plenty of space under the beds for extra storage. Would definitely recommend it to others.

This hostel is located in Chung King Mansions which is an expereince in itself; infact as the articile in Maple Leaf points out it was voted the best example of globalisation in Asia. John is friendly and is rooms are so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor. Lovely little spot.
The Maple Leaf Guesthouse is an immaculate setting amid the decrepitude of Chungking Mansions. Mr. John was very helpful, and I always felt safe and secure. Once you're checked in, have your room key out to show the people from other guesthouses on the ground floor--it kills their pitch when they see you already have a place. If they tell you that Maple Leaf is booked up, tell them you just phoned and confirmed your room, which you should do from the airport or train station when you arrive
